Dear little one,
I want you to know how much I love you and enjoy being your mom. You are the light of my life. My firstborn son, my miracle, my rainbow baby. I couldn’t have asked for a better kid to be my firstborn.
You are my favorite person in the whole entire world. We have been through so much together in our four years as a dynamic duo. You have shown me how special being a mother is.
With the arrival of your baby sister approaching quickly, I want you to know how proud I am of you. You have handled the changes and transitions over the last four years with such grace. The starting of preschool, potty training, getting rid of the binky, and switching to a big boy bed all in just a few weeks of each other. The loss of a baby that we were all so excited about. But now I can’t wait to watch you become a big brother and show your sibling all the cool things that excite you.
Although the big brother role is going to be a huge transition for all of us, I want you to know that my love for you will NEVER diminish. You will always be my firstborn, my baby. No matter what happens, you will always be the one that made me a mom first. I promise I will make time for you when the baby is born so you never feel neglected. Daddy and I will be sure to carve out some special one-on-one time with you to make you feel special and loved, too.
You are the one that made me a mom. I never knew what love actually was until the first moment I held you in my arms. The bond you and I share is so special to me but it is soon time to share that bond with your baby sister. I am so excited to see your bond grow with her.
I love you so much my sweet boy and it’s been a great run with you the last four years. Now, it is time to expand our family and to love another baby. You are going to be an amazing big brother. Even if you feel jealous of her, just know that no matter what, we will get through this transition together. I will help you through it. Your feelings will be validated, and everything will be ok.
